Hello, I'm Vicdan, an artist and designer based in Massachusetts, originally from Turkey. My journey into art began in childhood and has been shaped by years of learning, experimenting, and growing. I hold a BFA and MFA from Dokuz Eylul University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, and today, I dedicate myself fully to my own creative path—developing and exhibiting work across the U.S.
My art grows from a quiet, powerful dialogue with nature. I’m inspired by soft morning light, the weight of silence, the way trees bend with the wind. These moments, though small, carry immense meaning—they remind me that we’re part of something vast delicate, and connected.
Through traditional and digital mediums—oil paint, gouache, printmaking, or digital illustration—I explore emotions, symbols, and stories. I don’t limit myself to a single technique; I let the idea choose its own voice. Each piece is a conversation, a pause, an invitation to feel more deeply.
Birds, skies, and other natural elements often appear in my work—not just as visuals, but as metaphors. They speak to themes of freedom, longing, and transformation. My aim is not simply to create something beautiful, but something that resonates—beneath the surface.
Outside of the studio, I spend time in nature, walking and listening. These quiet moments often become the birthplace of new ideas. Every project is an opportunity to explore, to learn, and to connect—with others, with myself, and with the world around me.
If my work speaks to you—or if you’d like to collaborate—I’d love to hear from you.
